Meet Suzanne
I’m Suzanne Reid, British-Dutch, based in North Aveyron since 2021. Before moving here I spent nearly two decades working in international organisations in operational and financial risk management, professional administration and events management. I know how to assess risk, manage complexity, and handle sensitive responsibilities with discretion and precision.
I also know these valleys. I chose this life in a centuries old stone house by the two rivers and have a passion for the landscape, its architecture and local life. And being an expat for over two decades means I also understand the challenges of navigating the practical issues associated with international living. That’s why I look after properties with real care, not just going through the motions.
What I offer is reliable local presence with professional rigour: proactive, modern support that is multilingual, responsive and designed for international homeowners. You’ll hear from me before problems become expensive. You’ll receive photo reports, scanned documents, support with contractors and tradespeople, and peace of mind — handled properly so you don’t have to manage it from a distance in a language that isn’t yours.
Looking after a property may seem very different from a career in operational risk management. In reality, I see many similarities. Both involve paying attention to detail, identifying risks before they become problems, protecting valuable assets, and creating stability through careful planning and regular oversight.
The environment has changed, but the work feels surprisingly similar.
I work with a small number of clients, on fair and transparent terms. Looking after someone's home is personal work. It deserves to be done properly.
If that resonates with you, I’d be glad to hear from you.
